Call for applications: Deputy Editor Chest

The European Radiology Deputy Editor for Chest, Prof. Sujal Desai, wishes to step down after 7 years in this position. The Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Yves Menu, therefore welcomes letters of interest for his succession.

Deputy Editors in our journal independently handle submitted manuscripts. Their duties include screening the submitted manuscripts to decide if it is suitable for peer-review and making a decision of acceptance, revision, or rejection, based on the peer-review results. The Deputy Editor also attends Editor meetings, makes proposals for innovation or evaluation, and trains one “reviewer fellow” in his field of expertise per year.

The position is open to all established radiologists specialised in Chest imaging who are or have recently been practising radiology at a staff/consultant level in a renowned institution. They should have a strong personal experience in scientific publication and editorial work as a reviewer for major journals and participation in an Editorial Board or Committee.

The Editor-in-Chief will review all applications and make the final decision subject to approval by the ESR Board of Directors.
