Announcing the 2026 Albert L. Baert Editorial Fellows!

The European Radiology Private Foundation and the Chief Editor of the ESR Journals and Editor-in-Chief of European Radiology, Prof. Bernd Hamm, are delighted to announce the recipients of the prestigious Albert L. Baert Editorial Fellowship. For 2026, the programme welcomes three fellows:

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Georgios Agrotis, Dr. Timo Alexander Auer, and Dr. Diana Veiga-Canuto, who will embark on their editorial training journey, designed to prepare these promising candidates for future editorial leadership roles.

The Editor-in-Chief will personally welcome the selected fellows at ECR 2026 for an introductory meeting.

The subsequent 10-month fellowship period will consist of an onsite training hosted by Prof. Hamm in Berlin, and will be followed by a remote training phase.

Under the mentorship of our experienced Deputy Editors, the fellows will take part in a range of hands-on activities, exploring the core elements of editorial practice – including  manuscript evaluation, peer-review management, editorial decision-making and the principles that ensure ethical and transparent publishing.

We wholeheartedly congratulate the recipients and wish them a rewarding and inspiring fellowship experience!
