New Year, New Fellows: Welcome the recipients of Yves Menu Review Fellowships 2026!
European Radiology and its Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Bernd Hamm, proudly introduce the next class of Yves Menu Review Fellows. This talented group will meet for the first time in person at ECR 2026, kicking off a 10-month reviewer training journey. Throughout the programme, they will gain hands-on experience evaluating submitted manuscripts, learning how to assess formal criteria, scientific rigour, and how to craft clear, constructive recommendations for handling editors. As always, the fellows will be guided and supported by our esteemed Deputy Editors, whose mentorship is central to the fellowship’s mission. Maurizio Balbi is an academic radiologist at the University of Turin, Italy. His clinical and research work focuses on thoracic imaging, particularly interstitial lung disease and lung cancer, including interventional procedures and AI-based applications. He is involved in Italian lung cancer screening trials and is a member of the EuSoMII Young Club Committee.

Haoyin Cao is a Radiology Resident at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, specializing in abdominal and breast imaging. She completed a research traineeship at Johns Hopkins University, USA, deepening her expertise in radiological research. She is currently a member of the EUSOBI Young Club committee.

Ioana-Andreea Cîrlig is a fourth-year radiology resident and PhD student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova, Romania. Her clinical and academic work focuses on diagnostic imaging, with particular emphasis on breast imaging. She is an ESOR Bracco Fellow and completed clinical training at the Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan. She is actively involved in research and teaching and aims to further develop skills in scientific writing and peer review.

Shritik Devkota is a clinical fellow at the Cleveland Clinic with a strong academic and research background. With 30 publications and multiple awards during medical school and residency, he brings substantial scholarly expertise to evidence-based diagnostics. He also serves as a reviewer for several PubMed-indexed journals and is looking forward to further refine his skills as a peer reviewer.

Clemente García-Hidalgo is a radiology resident and PhD student based in Murcia, Spain, focused on advanced neuroimaging, perfusion MRI, and radiomics. He is actively engaged in scientific editorial work across national and international trainee initiatives, as well as in social media management and scientific dissemination within major radiological societies.

Sanchita Gupta is an Assistant Professor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. She specialises in diagnostic and interventional gastrointestinal radiology, with a focus on the management of hepatocellular carcinoma and complications of portal hypertension. She aims to combine her clinical work and research to support meaningful improvements in patient care.

Tuğçe Hancıoğlu is a board-certificated radiologist at Manisa Merkezefendi State Hospital with special interest in head and neck imaging. Completed 2024 ESOR Bracco Fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital on advanced MRI techniques in otology. Undertaking ESOR head and neck fellowship at London Northwick Park Hospital and contributing to the ESHNR SHINE Working Group.

Sabine A. Heinz is a fifth-year radiology resident in the “Universitäts- und Rehabilitationskliniken” Ulm, Germany. Her work for her PhD in Groningen, the Netherlands, resulted in several peer-reviewed scientific publications, fueling her interest to hone her skills in the editorial workflow. She is interested in neuroradiology, MSK and use of healthcare resources.

Stefano Lusi is a board-certified radiologist with a passionate commitment to musculoskeletal radiology – diagnostic, interventional, and AI-driven. His clinical and research interests focus on advancing MSK imaging techniques and AI applications. During ECR 2025, he was honoured with the Best Research Presentation Abstract Award on MSK topic. He completed an MSK fellowship in Vienna and he was further endorsed by an ESOR/ESSR fellowship in Paris, where he is now currently working as an MSK radiologist. He also serves as Chair-Elect of the ESSR Young Club.

Peter McAnena completed Radiology training at University Hospital Limerick, and has an MD in Surgery (2018). Now working as a fellow in Interventional Radiology / Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital, his research focuses on Oncology and Radiomics, with experience in Medical Education.

David Pakizer is Assistant Professor (Department of Imaging Methods) and Atherosclerosis Research Group Leader (Centre for Health Research) at Faculty of Medicine, University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. He holds PhD in Clinical Neurosciences and MSc in Radiography. His focus is on carotid atherosclerosis, cerebrovascular events, and neuroimaging, with experience in meta-analyses.

Dusan Petrovic is a board-certified radiologist with a broad prior clinical and radiological background, working at the University Clinical Center in Belgrade, Serbia. He was endorsed by the ESOR Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology 2023 at the University Clinic Innsbruck, Austria. His commitment to research is evident through numerous peer-reviewed publications and reviewer work for several high-impact radiological and broad discipline medical journals. He has a strong enthusiasm for editorial and research work and a constant tendency to further improve his knowledge.

Olof Joakim Pettersson completed his residency at Uppsala University Hospital in 2021, and defended his thesis “Monitoring of neuroendocrine tumor patients undergoing systemic therapies” at Uppsala University in 2023. Since March of 2025, he is a holder of the European Diploma in Thoracic Imaging (ESTI Diploma, EDiTI).

Toni Rabadi is an Assistant Consultant at the Institute of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland, where he specializes in urogenital and abdominal radiology. His research focuses on functional renal MRI and advanced oncologic imaging. He will start his international training at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Keenan Wells is a Radiology Resident working in the East Midlands of England. He is taking time out of training to complete a PhD at the University of Nottingham. His research interest lies in performance evaluation of AI tools within screening programmes and their effect on reader behaviour.

Salim Zenkhri is a radiologist specializing in musculoskeletal imaging and interventional procedures. His academic work focuses on advanced ultrasound, quantitative imaging, and biomechanical assessment to improve diagnostic accuracy. He is actively involved in clinical teaching and multidisciplinary collaboration in musculoskeletal radiology.
